The motive behind the storyline is that, Marcus can be a tightwad.

At least he’s found a girl he’s willing to splurge on.

How did that woman ever keep food in the house. 12 Horses… you’d need an industrial fridge.

Have Marcus and Nicole even been on A date yet? This seems like quite a leap.

He’s not dropping out, he’s just not invited because he’s trying to bring his new girlfriend.

My comment is, that his sister is a bit biased…. if you think about it

Marcy says Marcus can’t bring Nicole, but… Now there’s pressure for Marcus to ditch his girlfriend at home, and make the trip (and spend the time) without her? Geez, tough Family Code, there.

Marcus’s tightfistedness reminds me of the old Jack Benny bit about when he’s being robbed and the robber yells “Your money or your life” to which Benny replies “I’m thinking it over!” https://youtu.be/-tVzdUczMT0

This story line is getting boring. Too much time on creating the vacation & not enough time on actually going on vacation & getting to the chosen place!!!

He just wants to spend time with his beloved.

You can compare anything. You can even compare apples and oranges. Oranges have thicker skins and are not usually as sweet (though this can vary depending on specific types of apples and oranges. Granny smiths are pretty sour). See. Easy.

Marcus is an athlete after my own heart: muscular and thrifty.

Not this year, don’t think we’ve gptten even 4 inches of snow.

If this guy had to pay for his own food instead of eating food others pay for, he wouldn’t be so big…he’d be maybe 98 pounds wet.

Psst!!!….somebody tell Marcus that Mount Airy Lodge is closed.

Skiing in the Poconos is much cheaper for a reason, it’s not good.

My younger brother and his best friend (both over 6 feet) while in high school would wipe out our fridge and his friends fridge of milk, cheese, bread, jam, etc. on a regular basis. They were very physically active in sports, etc. I overheard mom on the phone commiserating with the friend’s mom about the situation. When my mom stopped making home made whole wheat bread (we had a wheat grinder) and just purchased white bread, my brother complained about that. The white bread wasn’t filling enough. So mom went back to baking wholewheat bread. There were five kids in our family, four girls and one hungry boy in the middle!

I hope Nicole realizes that she’s getting involved with a guy who will cheap out at every opportunity. Poconos my eye…take her to Vale!

A family of 4 very large teenage boys down the street from us actually put a lock on the fridge door. Mom got tired of shopping in the morning only to ind the fridge empt come dinner time!

Marcus is such a “cheap”skate.

My mother-in-law had 11 kids. 5 were boys, but luckily the oldest were out of the house before the youngest were old enough to make a dent in the groceries.
