Note that the rockets shown in Panels 3 and 4 are football shaped, like a V2. ALL cartoon rockets are always shown as V2’s, even though the V2 was the ONLY rocket ever shaped like that. Every other rocket, meaning the huge majority of them, has been a straight sided cylinder. This is a pet peeve of mine.
Oat Johnson would someday save the universe from a threat that would terrify the bravest of people. But that is a tale for another day. [Also, I like the colours used in the last 3 panels]
OK, folks… we’re now officially living in a crossover. Yesterday, at the market, I was looking at the oat, soy, almond and coconut based drinks that mimic milk and I ran across… wait for it…. Planet Oat brand oat milk! I just about fell over! Here it is! https://planetoat.com/ Drink up, my fellow unicorns!
Number three with a resident “Oat” wearing a hat befitting the name makes the most sense. Surely when the Jame Webb cools down enough in 3 months we’ll resolve O. Johnson.

the third theory indeed does sound disappointing… how’d Johnson’s parents come up with the name Oat though?
