if this were two years ago or two years from now, February would be almost finished in three days

Spouse and I talk about “time” and “end of game time”. The second one is about 15 times slower than the first.

Every four years, though, it does go into overtime.

In American football (professional) they at least give you a time-out to make it last longer.

Jef is actually trying to rush through the end of February, since there are actually 3 days left.

The end of Feb puts us 2/3 of the way toward spring, March being the transition month that alternates frustration with hope, depending on the day.

We are having a warm February which means 2 feet of snow to end March. The snow will be piled high in the parking lots until the end of May.

I’m confused by the fixation on the calendar as a factor in your life … even if we were to take Michigan as the center of humanity. March won’t be any great break in the weather; and for many people following the strip, the weather is just fine.

Reminds me of a few years ago when I was so looking forward to watching a final Australian Open match. But there was an “important” NBA game with only 5 minutes left on the clock. The subtitles said that the AO broadcast would come on right after the basketball game. Well…. you know… the first set was over by the time I got to see any tennis.

The last two minutes of a close basketball game has a minuscule chance of a different outcome?

Actually, those two minutes are the only part of the game that matters.

That reminds me of the last election.
