i love the winter. sometimes i get sick which gets me out of school

is there any type of weather that prevents Charlie Brown from playing ball? I remember a strip where everybody but CB scrambles to go home because of rain and CB continues to claim the rain’s gonna lighten up.

Charlie Brown, alone on his pitching mound proudly proclaiming, “My mama didn’t raise no quitter! A failure maybe. But no quitter!”

This is why spring training belongs in Florida

I know that the pitcher can’t throw spit-balls. Will he get into trouble if he throws snow-balls? I can just see someone swinging at a Charlie Brown pitch. A hit and the snow ball explodes all over the batter.

Never knew there was a winter version of the strips that had CB standing there alone in the rain.

Oh, THAT’S why they never win a game – not enough PRACTICE! Now it all makes sense.

When I ordered a new car back in the fall, I included snow tires in the price; but when they told me last week it would finally be ready to pick up today, I said “Spring is almost here, leave off the snow tires.” Today’s forecast: 90% probability of snow.

It’s March.

And the Major League Baseball season is delayed due to the current baseball lockout, 2 years ago it was the launch of the COVID pandemic.

CB is dedicated to his team. The sign of a Great Manager. With Snoopy, ever vigilant, as his shortstop and his hovering ever so close to Ruth’s record, there is great reason for Chuck to be optimistic and so he is ready to start spring training even when it snows. It is like going swimming in a lake in April when the water is just above the freezing mark: a right of age for us when growing up.

Thank you Charlie Brown. This may be the extent of this year’s baseball season.

When my daughter was in middle school, she played soccer. I took her to a soccer game one blustery day and it started to rain as we pulled up. I told her that they might cancel the game. She looked puzzled and said, “Why? We practice in the rain.”

You have to love March. Cold, warm, snow, rain, wind, sleet, mud, sunny, cloudy. Everything you love about the weather, all packed into one month…and sometimes, one day.

I’ll bet he’d be one of those guys on the golf course with an orange ball in the snow if he ever grew up.

Actually, would be a good idea for them to practice in the snow. They can’t get any worse than they already are. And practice might degenerate into an old fashioned snowball fight. Not to mention when they loose the ball, they can always practice catching snowballs (which might actually improve their ability to catch a baseball by encouraging them to catch the snowball before it hits them).

At least someone is ready for spring training.
