Two problems. “That new bag…” implies only one was bought. Arlo, what were you thinking? Second, either Arlo forgot he ate them or he’s picking a fight he cannot win.
I used to eat lots of chips and then I discovered real cheese chips. Take a slice of sharp cheddar, split in fourths and place on parchment paper, with some space between the pieces. Put in mw for about one minute until they are crisp and excess oil is gone, but not so crisp that they crumble. Once you get it right for your mw, these chips are easy to make, carb free, and great with salsa.
Two people live in the house. They never seem to have friends over. If he ate them, no need to ask where they are. So he should announce he is going to the store, and ask if they need anything else. A mouse would not fold up an empty bag and put it back, nor do most women in my experience.
Me , on a diet. Buy a candy bar. 3 servings per bar. Calories 130 per serving. And each serving can be broken into 6 pieces. Me and the reason to watch calories. Oh a candy bar. One serving.
We eat our three meals. Unless husband has a blood sugar low and he needs to eat something to deal with it neither of us eats between meals normally.
But it being not normal times, we each have certain items we have bought that is just/primarily for ourselves. I buy a bag of Werther’s originals hard candy and allow myself a maximum of 2 per day if I have any in a particular day – the bag lasts for months and months. He buys pretzels and they also last quite awhile.

After all these years together he has to ask? The same thing that happened to the previous new bag of potato chips.

It was only a single serve size, though, like the ones they sell at Costco.

Was a bit confused for a minute then remembered a bag of chips is a “packet of crisps” in UK and not something in the freezer i.e. French fries

It is hard to find good chips since they took out the transfat. However the Kroger brand is pretty tasty. Comfort food on a cold night.

I speak from experience: If you buy several bags, they’re still gone the next day.

I’d never have chips in the house except my daughter eats them. I eat a handful once in a while and I’m not impressed.
