Waist SOUNDS like waste, but it ain’t the same. At the kid’s age, new clothes are a given, but at MY age (and for the last umpity-ump years) I’ve felt the need to only upgrade the size when the knees wear through. Sometimes that’s pretty tough!

We don’t do either one. We save it for later. Assuming that “that you shouldn’t” means because you are full, and not food that is bad for you.

The biggest waste is kids who don’t have food. That stunts their growth and slows their mental development.

How about putting food on a plate that you know won’t get eaten and that will have to be thrown away?

Sorry about the SHIRT comment yesterday. Totally embarrassed and I did mean to type SHIRT and not the word that appeared. Please forgive. BTW I deleted it and apologized here. Hope you accept. Thanks in advance

Sometimes a little taste of the shouldn’t makes the should more acceptable.

Food eaten that you didn’t want to eat (after you are full) is the biggest waste. If it can be saved, save it for later, if it can’t then throw it out. When food is purchased it helps the farm economy and encourages further farming. There is no lack of food in the world, the problem is distribution. As long as there is a viable farm economy, this will remain true. So, if you are in a ‘first world’ country, you shouldn’t feel bad about throwing out food.

That said, it’s hard not to feel bad about it.

Throwing away food is the biggest waste; eating food you shouldn’t is the biggest waist.

We’re encouraged/trained when young not to throw away food so that we’ll eat what we don’t want to eat – you know, broccoli, carrots, hard-boiled eggs and such.

The best use for unwanted food that cant be used as leftovers os compost! Our city does it for us free and we get the compost soil every quarter. Total win win!

Any food eaten will have to be processed/disposed of about 24 hours later likely at a higher cost then putting the food in a compose bin.

Throwing away food is the only one that’s waste. Eating food you shouldn’t eat is bad health.

Uneaten food doesn’t go to waste at the school near me- the coyotes love leftovers!
