I love the panel with the four people on the pier looking up and what we see is the shadows of the flying sharks.

Spud’s mind, where imagination and terror meet.

I do not know what I like best about WtB – the comic, or some of the conversations generated by the comic

Spud…even Wallace is looking a little “what the heck are you talking about?” right now.

Great Whites have been recorded to leap out of the water after prey, and all flying fish are doing is suspending their leaps. So behaviorly a Flying Great White is more plausible then hammerhead if still geneticly implausible.

A nice little nod to “Tyrannosaurs in F-14s”, perhaps?

Wallace is intrigued…

Sounds like a great theme for a horror movie franchise…..

One of the creatures in Oz are flying hammerhead sharks.

The intro panel has the wild flying fish wearing his leather jacket leaning against the parked motorcycle at the bottom of the ocean.

I sometimes wonder, “Why are Spud and Wallace friends?” this helps solidify their relationship for me.

I would sometimes completely zone out in elementary school. I don’t remember this, of course. My teachers were so concerned they actually had me tested for epilepsy. The councilors that tested me told my Mom, “she’s fine. She just has a vivid imagination and likes to go elsewhere with it.” Lol.
