Those are dead eyes that are lacking any soul. It’s the eyes of a war criminal who is murdering innocent men, women and children and destroying a sovereign nation’s infrastructure and livelihood for his own purpose and greed.

“The Rape of Ukraine” might well be presented as a Greek tragedy, maybe in the manner of Sophocles or Aeschylus. The onlookers of the world’s nations comment upon the destruction as a Greek Chorus. And one man, Putin, seems destined for monumental god-like scorn upon himself and a lasting stain upon his Russia.

(The goddess Peitho (Desire) was called the daughter of Ate’):

“Perverse Temptation [the goddess Peitho], the overmastering child of designing Destruction [ate’], drives men on; and every remedy is futile. His evil is not hidden; it shines forth, a baleful gleam. Like base metal beneath the touchstone’s rub, when tested he shows the blackness of his grain . . . and upon his people he brings a taint against which there is no defence. No god listens to his prayers. The man associated with such deeds, him they destroy in his unrighteousness.”

“They say -If pity likes a human eye

Pity by justice law must share

The sinners guilt and with the sinner die."

    — From: Aeschylus, “Agamemnon”

I once worked for a while with a Russian in western Siberia. He had been taught in school that Tsarist Russia had leased Alaska to the US for 99 years. It was compared to China leasing Hong Kong to Britain. Wonder if they will try to get it back now.

Gen. David Petraeus explains why Russian generals are being picked off one by one in Ukraine

“They [the Russians] use cell phones, and Ukrainians blocked the prefix for Russia,” he continued with a smile. “They took down 3G. They’re stealing cell phones from Ukrainian civilians. The column gets stopped and an impatient general goes forward to see what’s going on, because there’s no initiative, no non-commissioned officer corps, no sense of initiative at junior levels — they wait to be told what to do. Gets up there, and the Ukrainians have very, very good snipers and have been picking them off.”

“At least four of the five have been confirmed, I think the fifth we’ll hear about today,” he added.

He’s the most hated man in the world. Everyone condemns him for his actions. Everyone agrees he’s committed war crimes. And, yet, he keeps going on and on and on……killing people, children and babies. He has no regard for human life ~ even that of his own people that are fighting for him. All for his own ego. He needs to be stopped!!

“Yes,” GW Bush replied, before allowing Putin to answer a separate question. A few minutes later, the American president elaborated: “I looked the man in the eye. I found him to be very straightforward and trustworthy. We had a very good dialogue. I was able to get a sense of his soul, a man deeply committed to his country and the best interests of his country,” Bush said, adding a few sentence later, “I wouldn’t have invited him to my ranch if I didn’t trust him.”

In other news, Trump’s henchman is still a traitor.

‘Putin is acting defensively’: Roger Stone slams American ‘pestilence’ in pro-Russia rant

“Ukraine is not even remotely about what they’re telling us,” the former Trump adviser said. “Ukraine is about the fact that the Ukrainians have used their soil to place dual launch missile pads, missiles that would be aimed at the Soviet Union. There are, in fact, biolabs there funded by our tax dollars cooking up who knows what pestilence to dump on the Russian people.”

“Putin is acting defensively,” he added. “He is not acting offensively. But you won’t read that in the mainstream media and you won’t hear it anyplace but Real America’s Voice.”

If Republicans didn’t have lies they would have nothing at all.

Bush looked into his eyes (and soul) and found him straightforward and trustworthy, deeply committed to his country and his people. Trump feared and envied Putin and to this day cannot bring himself to criticize the man (neither man listened to their intelligence communities). Obama and Biden knew exactly who they’re dealing with, no wonder they never got along with him.

Just think about what happened 15 years ago here, in our nation’s capital. A mad man saying things that aren’t true, to cause an incident, that gets national attention, in the wrong way.
