Oh, dear, that’s got to be a blow.

“Mommy” not ready yet for the Kids to be in charge? Next she will be picking out a “Rest Home” for you Rita.

And I’ll bet that scarred her for life.

Rita is not right, but I can totally understand her feeling.

My manager is a decade younger than I am – I’d rather leave someone else dealing with the politics and managing staff than do it myself

I’m old enough to be my bosses’ father.

My boss came to me for advice all the time. He knew I had the experience that he didn’t. He wasn’t afraid to ask for help…especially if he needed to fire someone.

Don’t start a second career. I retired from the Army and then went into teaching. All the administrators are young enough to be my children.

I cried the first time a kid I babysat had a kid of their own! And now I’m a great-great auntie (thanks a lot BFF’s daughter! LOL)

And now comes the reckoning. Just what kind of babysitter was Rita?

Wow! I never thought about this until now, but I actually was the youngest person in the department when I first became a manager. And, some of the folks were older than my parents. Well, at least I tried VERY hard to be a good boss.
