It’s true that not everything needs to be solved with violence. Very few things require it, in my experience. But insects invading your home is one of the exceptions.
I had a neighbor that used to humanely catch and release mice. My wife pointed out to her that it was likely the same mice. So, the neighbor marked it with nail polish. Yep, caught it again the next day.
The same thing happens to me, but with mice. Seriously – I captured one with a “humane” trap, released it about 100 yards (90m) away from my house, and it made a beeline back to my house

Wait for it to set down, then shoot it with a rubber band. They never see it coming.

Having more than five legs and being in my house is trespassing which is a capital crime.

After using a can of RAID, I declaired my house a no-fly zone.

House flies spread disease and don’t really serve a purpose except as food for larger predators such as spiders and birds. Go ahead and kill it.

This is why you need a cat in the house

One fly doesn’t bother me at all as much a mosquito or moth would. I’m not scared of spiders either.

Okay Dean, get a fly swatter

With flies, the only answer is violence, I’m sorry but it’s true, although it would have worked to close the window after kicking the fly out!

Just spray it with window cleaner. Then it gets too heavy to fly and soon dies from the ammonia it just absorbed.

I hate that flies like the same foods humans eat. Worse, yellowjackets do, too.
