I wonder what they thought aliens were back in B.C. at a time when they didn’t know what planets were, but thought the flat Earth was the center of the Universe and the Sun, Moon and the little points of lights circled around in the sky.
I love the Ancient Aliens TV Program. They go to the most interesting places and give you some of the history. Then they go “Full-Q” and take a quantum leap (to use another TV program name) in logic to explain why the accomplishment MUST have been the work of ancient aliens.
Anything that does not have an immediate explanation MUST have been the work of extraterrestrial. No other explanation is considered.
The juxtaposition of actual history and outlandish conclusions make the program almost as as funny as some of the political ads I see except without the consequences.
“General Order 1”, and the “non-interference directive”) is a guiding principle that prohibits interfering with the natural development of alien civilizations. What you left you Phaser behind? Oh No, that will make a mess of this planet.
Okay. I suppose that could explain some things, but I mean really. If you came all the way to earth to probe a few primates, why build a pyramid and the leave?
In 15,000 BC, Grum the caveman invented gunpowder; and immediately blew himself to smithereens. 13,800 years later some Chinese guy rediscovered the formula.

They didn’t have high tech equipment like that back in the days of dinosaurs so that’s the only explanation.

Probably wore out the power pack, or we’d still be able to use it today. Now it’s just a kids toy.

Would this be his response to having been probed?

Perhaps he was only visited by someone from the future.
Either way, leaving a tool like that would violate the Prime Directive.
