“effectively wild”? What is this? In-house little league? That’s the only level where “effectively wild” works. By the time kids get to the HS level, they know how to be patient enough to allow “effectively wild” pitchers to walk everyone.
What the hell? We were led to believe that the championship was on the line against Jefferson, and now they’ve played probably at least 3 more games with no end in sight. My predictions for last game, ruined, as they were all based on it being the last game. Is Gregggg really going to be an ace pitcher now, just because he pretended to be wild while warming up before one game? And speaking of warming up, warm up your satire receptors, as today’s Mopped Up Thorp is online.
Panel #1 has Milford wearing all red uniforms, in panel #2-and 3 they changed into black shirts with red trim. I guess Milform changes uniforms between pitches

Gregg’s mask takes on a sinister life of its own and grows across his face, threatening him with asphyxiation.

I wouldn’t have figured starting two catchers would have been a good, idea, but Milford still won.

So there’s at least one kid in the league that didn’t get the memo.

I’m still trying to wrap my head around his feet in P-2. Why did he pick his outside foot back up?
