Alas, Petey has found his doppelganger! Two hapless youths, both with the same afflicted mindset.

These two are brothers-in-arms.

Buckethead Kevin shows wisdom beyond his years.

Happy campers! I like that.

So nice of Petey to share some life lessons to the youngsters.

I don’t see a park bench anywhere.

Petey has issues.

Kindred spirits.

“You are learning, Grasshopper.”

“There are grasshoppers? YEEK!”

Did I ever tell you about the time I was chased by 2 butterflies?

Is Petey intended to be on the autism spectrum?

I think Mr Thompson must have the DSM v ( Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) as bedside reading

Alice would be mortified or at least PO’d that Petey and Bucket Head are bonding!

The table looks very slanted….

the little guy has found a mentor!!!

A rattle and a bucket sittin’ at a picnic

One fearful hero and his little sidekick

A spider and a bee decide to play a funny trick

Cause who doesn’t love just a little slapstick?

Two plates especially if someone wants to pass off baked beans at the cookout!

When portraying the strip from the perspective of Petey drawing it as a story/comic, Mister Thompson doing it in this simpler style is brilliant, Or did he have one of his kids do this? Either way it is charming.

They have found each other.

While Mom Madeline fetches a Petey-burger (two plates, at least), she also tries to straighten out Alice (a hopeless task!).

Meanwhile Petey and Kevin are bonding as if brothers!

Yes, Petey, those who are commitment-averse will not tuck into a bench attached to a table. Better to keep your feet on the outside in case you need to drift away.
