Flying a kite from a window while cats watch looks like fun, Amelia.

Amelia: “Rose, you’re good people. Let’s ditch Spud and go join Wallace.”

Don’t step on any of the bees with bare feet!

Oooh, burn!

At first I thought, “Et tu, Rose?” But then I realized she’s not saying Spud is a clown; she’s just assuming Amelia means Spud whenever she says “clown boy.”

I love Spuds mix of annoyance and resignation in the last panel.

Looks like he’s gained an entourage – and even the house cats are “mildly interested”!

The bees had too much to drink….they’re buzzed….(drum roll)

Don’t worry Spud, the burn will cool off.

But Spud, if you had a black vest, you’d look like a mini mime.

Amelia start to like Wallace’s ritual and this scare her. She may become like every other kid in the island and this is unacceptable for her.

They are second graders. Pretty much any second grade boy can be called “clown boy”.

Clown Boy you say. Yet, you follow “Clown Boy” around like a lost puppy, enjoying all the adventures along the way. Sounds suspiciously like you look forward to what the Clown Boy(s) does or do……

I wonder if Mom will cut them off in some way. Wallace’s annual tradition of chucking his shoes off the docks is expensive.

I was just remembering past attempts to throw his shoes in the ocean. Once they landed in a canoe and another time his his father on the head. I hope he looks first this time.

The other Clown Boy is a rhymin rappa. Dressed in his vest, he wears socks to the docks.
