If Alex defaced the things by writing her name on them in indelible ink – they are worthless because of it. NO resale or collectible value. Worth? $0.00.

You don’t get a finder’s fee for stolen prproperty. At best you’re out whatever you paid for it. At worst you get arrested for possessing stolen property. Good luck, Uncle Duke.

I have a box full of beanie babies (my daughters loved them). I am going to spread them all over the dashboard of my car and see what happens.

A couple of questions here:

(1) Why didn’t Duke say “I used to know a guy named Doonesbury.”?

(2) Where on a Beanie Baby is there enuf room to write both a name and a phone number?

That $30k collection back then is probably worth $30 now.

And take a 75% finder’s fee?

Wouldn’t writing one’s name, address and phone number on the Beanie Babies greatly decrease their value, even if it’s only on the labels?

Wouldn’t writing anything on the tags detract from the value? You wouldn’t care if you had no intention of ever selling them, but then why cry about losing $30K worth of stuff?

That’s already happening.

Earl you should know by now never let Duke know what you are up to. Then you can have all the action.
