I get the slightest little whine at dinner time if I am late more than ten minutes. But at play time, growls, snarls and barks accompanied with tail wags. Gets me off my chair for exercise.
I have cat that begs at dinnertime. He’s 22lbs and gives a hilarious little squeak if I ignore him. It’s a lot better than the first time he begged, by standing on his hind legs and sinking both sets of front claws into my leg. O.o
Yup, my three large fur babies (two labradoodles and one creme golden retriever) start the routine about 4:30 pm knowing dinner is close. If I sleep in late past 6 AM, they are barking and whining because they know they should be at the park playing ball……Those internal clocks of theirs is pretty accurate.
Our dog Maggie has become a real whiner since she came back from the vet this time. She had been sedated for some procedures and I wonder if that sedation has messed with her emotions. She whines about anything now and it is really annoying.

Roscoe appears to be successful in begging judging by his portly size. Diet time!

Roscoe, given how things are shaping up in panel 4, you outta ease up on the whining and dining!

Our dogs were all silent beggars. But the faces they made were irresistible. They always got the leftovers.
