That’s a neat trick with the coffee pot, even more clearly shown than before. I think this might be the first time we’ve seen the written Lunarian language. At least, I don’t remember seeing it before.

The very lonely Marina is no doubt enjoying her time guiding Tracy an awful lot!

That’s a very interesting mural in panel 2. I wonder if it shows the origin of the Lunar people.

an uneventful installment today, except that we learn that Marina is widowed… other than that, not much else…

I give her credit for not dwelling in self pity and sorrow. Panel 2: Is Tracy blowing on his coffee to cool it down to drinking temperature (white, cold air puff missing) or has the news of Marina’s misfortune made him take notice ?  Moon daddy is turning into a really swell guy. ….. And we should have been linked to “Love Is”. ;-p

Can the death of Marina’s husband turn out to be an actual crime that Tracy ends up investigating? Will we see some actual detection in this storyline? Or will this continue to be a soap opera strip with sci fi elements?

Who needs microwaves when one can just zap their coffee hot.

I suppose Marina leading Tracy on the sight seeing will lead to someone within the ranks of earth conquerors. A Moon Valley resident turned snitch…imagine that!

During the days of pre Y2K, ambassador used to be governor. Generation Xers and the Millennials of Moon Valley must have downgraded his position to the one he now holds. Not known whether he had to pay for his daughters’ statue. Perhaps the Moon Valley government footed the bill out of respect for him.

Does the picture on the wall of the Council Chamber require a caption horn-y Famous Politician Luner Bill Clinton (he does have horns)?

If that’s the complete equivalent of COUNCIL CHAMBER, their writing system is quite complicated to decode as there is no repeated character to represent the two letter C.

The painting on the wall behind Tracy and Marina in the 2nd. panel reminded me of Detroit’s we known city statue…

I wonder if Marina’s husband looked a lot like Tracy.

just to let any of my fellow Tracers out there who may care… I will be offline and offsite today (Tuesday) and POSSIBLY Wednesday due to important real-life stuffs… nothing serious or drastic, just routine stuffs that need to be tended to, so no worries… and also nothing concerning any of my physicalities… I’m good in that department… I’ve finished with my likes and replies for today and I’m all caught up, so I won’t be responding in any way from this point on til when I return in short order, in a day or two, barring any unforeseen chit, which I don’t foresee… I just wanted to do the courteous thing get the word out that it’s just affairs that need looking at… so when I return, Ill have to ‘ketchup’ on all I’ve missed and I will have to ‘mustard’ up all my strength to continue with this arc, though at the rate things are going now, I’ll probably not have missed much or ANYTHING… so til when we meet again next, you all stay safe and take care of yourselves and we’ll do this allover again soon… so don’t miss me MUCH, y’hear?…LMAO…

So Pres knows about a plot, and brings Famous Detective Dick Tracy to sniff it out, from a race that can read minds… doesn’t seem like they thought this through.

In the meantime Poor Tess is home and alone!

Oh, I hope we get to visit the Moon Museum and the Moon Zoo! Maybe we can hear a Moon Opera. And maybe, after that, this story will actually begin!!

1-DT: Seriously? Yours is THAT big. Man, I WISH!

THORIN: That’s not what I was indicating you dolt. This is the hand sign for Moon Supremacy. You know – like that circle and 3 fingers some of you dim witted Earthlings like to flash. But in our case, it’s justified because we are SUPERIOR!

3-DT: So what’s Marina’s story? Is she seeing anyone?

THORIN: Well – you apparently. I should tell you that she belongs to a Moon Sect that subscribes to the killing of lovers with whom one has grown tired of. And she gets bored easily…

DT: Does she now? That’s what I was hoping! THORIN: That’s not how I meant it.

DT: Gotta go while my iron still hot – if you know what I mean. THORIN: Yeah. Leave an address where we can send the remains.

DT: TAXI!!!

Much more here than meets the eye. And I have to wonder what’s in that coffee pot.

There is now a THIRD color in Marina’s hair! It’s cool :D I really want for Marina to not turn out to be part of the conquest gang, but only time will tell. ALSO ALSO I like how the moon glyphs were translated for us in panel 2! :D

It’s interesting that for all the Lunarians’ advanced technology, the Ambassador is using an old-school coffee pot.

Thorin, the Pot-Hotter, said quite a mouthful there in panel 3! Marina is a young widow. Guiding Tracy about perks her up. Since her husband died she’s been very lonely.

Hint, hint, hint!

Is Thorin trying to nudge nudge wink wink Tracy into being of service to the pretty perky Marina-widow?

Or, will her husband’s death turn out to be significant to this (alleged) story of the cabal’s plot to conquer Earth?
