Having owned cats, I would say that he’s smelling it, first.

He’s trying to figure out how he can tell every cat he knows how it looks. Maybe telepathy.

I think we’re rubbing off on Arlo.

Oh, poor Ludwig. No phone. How does he manage.

Probably better than us humans who have them.

Poor Luddie. By the time it was served he forgot if what was served was what he ordered.

I always believe they are waiting for it to move…

She didn’t even crack a smile. I did, internally.

Janis, I trust that’s a recycling bin??

He’s staring at his food because he doesn’t know what it is and he doesn’t have a phone to call it and find out.

One of our cats has terrible close-up vision. Takes him a moment to find the bowl that’s right in front of him.

Have a great weekend my friends.

Cats have great vision for distance. They need it to find game (food) to survive. Once the game gets in close their near vision is not as important because hearing and smell kick in to get the deed done.

Ah, for once I finally get the joke.

It takes a while to think: “this again? I can’t believe this! Oh, well, it’s this or starve.

He’s thinking “do I really want to eat this?”

He is thinking " No filet mignon?"

The answer is obvious, Ludwig is in a catatonic state.

My dog barely lets me put her bowl on the floor. I can pick it up empty within about 15 seconds.

Next question: why does the cat paw the floor tile around the food bowl once she finishes eating?

Ludwig is watching to see if it’s still moving.

Thinking with analogies can only get you so far.
