I see… so that’s the reason the catcher is wearing a football helmet?

Momentum equals mass times velocity times a constant. Force is change in momentum divided by change in time. Must be a massive ball with antigravity to boot.

Rules of physics? Poppycock! In comics, gravity and inertia make their OWN rules. ;-)

This comic theme is a reminder that the LLWS (Little League World Series) start this week on Wednesday, with 10 teams from the USA & 10 teams from other countries gathering in Williamsport, Pa. Most games will be televised on one of the ESPN channels (FWIW).

That’s the opposite of the steeds in yesterday’s Wizard of Id…. They had lots of speed, but no power.

Anybody here remember the old Paul Douglas-Ray Milland film, “It Happens Every Spring”? Great flick with about the same amount of . . .

Almost everyone understands Newtonian Physics – intuitively, if not mathematically. Quantum Physice is understood by far fewer, mostly by those with a post-graduate degree in the field. Comic Book Physics is far more esoteric still, usually accepted as a matter of faith with little attemp at true understanding.
