Most nights it’s just me and the cat….other nights she likes to sleep under the bed.

We are all animals…mammals. It is nice sleeping with a dog or cat close by. Comforting.

What strikes me as odd is people who don’t allow their pets to sleep on the bed with them.

We had a middle-of-the-night thunderstorm last week. When I woke up, both cats were tight up against me.

I sleep with cats. Correction: I don’t actually get any sleep with cats. Little furry hot-water-bottles that hog the bed and won’t stop the dern purring.

It was a three cat night last night. First time since April. The others were over some HVAC vents.

I have 3 cat nights and after 5 am it ‘s 4. On the other side of the bed there’s hubby. Queen size beds really aren ’t that big.

We trained our dog to sleep in her dog bed over in the corner. She jumps onto the foot of our bed about 2 hours before the alarm goes off.

My dog sleeps under the covers. She puts her head on my shoulder, between my arm and my body. After a minute or two, I roll over and crash. I wake up with her usually on my ankle. She never wakes me up. I like knowing where my dog(s) is (are) when I am asleep. Beagles are den animals, if you don’t let them under the covers, you might well wake up with them there anyway. If they get in the way it’s easier to push them over when they are under the covers.
