Next, he’ll get a copy of Farenheit 451, and burn that instruction book.

To be fair, the ending was kind of a giveaway.

Maybe he should have skipped to the last chapter.

Uh, can one say “continuity error”?

The shelf to the right of the book looks completed in panel 1. But in panel 3, it looks incomplete.

What? People Read books, with paper, in modern times? Everything is electronic, books read themselves to me. Save a tree.

Back in high school a young lady I knew asked me if I had read “Everything You Wanted to Know About Sex, But Were Too Afraid to Ask”. I told her no, I was afraid to read it.

I had the whole room laughing for about five minutes straight.

He should have gotten the Idiots guide to building a bookcase

He probably missed the footnote about securing it to the wall in a facility that requires occasional minor station-keeping maneuvers.

Reminds me (for no particular reason) of a Mark Twain story. He said he started to read a German novel before realizing it was a trilogy – all the verbs were in the third book. (Tip of the hat to all those German students out there. A year was enough for me.)

Certainly use that bookcase for my old college textbooks

When I was in high school, I made three shelves for my locker: 3 particle board shelves cut to fit, and with a 1/4" hole near each corner; 4 of 1/4-20 threaded rod, and nuts and washers.

He really needs an Ikea kit which comes with drawings for the “trans-literate”.

(It’s a term I invented for people who can read but don’t.)
