I never did like pearls. Clams, however, do make fine chowder.

Humans are disgusting, but then, so are slimy clams and their hack pearls…

We are disgusting we also eat Caviar a delicacy (it’s fish eggs), and don’t get me started on escargot.

Clams like what humans excrete, so its a win-win situation

This got me googling about whether clams can eject pearls. That led me to freshwater pearl farming, in which 24-32 fragments of “mantle tissue” are implanted in each clam, with each fragment becoming a pearl inside the bivalve in the course of 2-7 years. We know what must happen next. Did PETA ever warn us about that?

How about a nice cup of Kopi luwak, made from the “recycled” coffee cherries passed through the Asian palm civet. That should wake you up.
