I wish Mike would tell a story set in the current century that does not involve obscure comics of yesteryear. Old geezers who pine for old comics make my interest in the strip wane sorry

Good morning™, hero worshipers (fanboys) !

Sam humbles before the Master. Vitamin shows gratitude for all the scrapes MCU has gotten him out of.

Sam is a much of a fanboy as Robert is… maybe he’ll weasel a selfie and an autograph onto his playbill…

I’m surprised that Vitamin can actually crouch down like that at his age, the arthritic old goat… those nocturnal boudoir sessions with Kandi must be improving his physicalities… LMAO…

So, so far in this story we’ve basically seen Robert ask his uncle to call in a favor with Patterson Playhouse to audition for a role in a new production, & Sam asking Tracy to call in a favor with Vitamin Flintheart to see rehearsals of that production. Either Mike is setting up some kind of dramatic meeting, or else he’s run out of ideas. Let’s see.

Fun Fact: It’s now been four months since we’ve seen the old man in the garage with legal documents that may be important to Tracy some day.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying the recent stories are bad, just predictable and pedestrian!

Why do I get the feeling that Robert is the crim?

Sam: "Not particularly. But I would like to take you up on your “all you can eat life-time popcorn” offer."

Considering Vitamin always calls Tracy “Richard”, I’m surprised he doesnt call Sam “Samuel.”

Sooooo…. We have a new (supposedly) bad guy: Steelface… But no new crime/bad stuff? When do we get to find out what Steelface is up to?

Perfect timing Sam…you got to the theater after the auditions. But in plenty of time for rehearsals. I suppose Vitamin has come a long way from Shakespeare “To be or not to be that is the question”.

Since Vitamin is so formal with Tracy, calling him Richard (instead of Tracy, or, even Dick,) wouldn’t he address Sam as Samuel?

“Egads, I just recalled something. He will only meet with the COMMON people if they bankroll the production. No personal checks.”

Tracy got involved in a romantic triangle between 3 famous actors.In the end,everybody forgave everybody else and it was probably the only Tracy story where he made no arrests!!

Is Derby Dugan a comic character?

The storyline grinds on, with Sam and amenable Vitamin exploring the arcana of theatre fans. But Sam is in for the rehearsal, and per Vitamin will have a meet-and-greet with Robert Parrish/“Derby Dugan”; I suppose that is a Good Thing.

Hungry for a crime….
