It is nice being retiree only having to drive to medical appointments, the grocery store and an occasional play. Usually don’t use more than 1/2 a tank per month..

Gasoline here went from $4:69 to $5.89 overnight on the ANNOUNCEMENT of the OPEC reduction plans.

That is NOT a free market…

We were paying these gas prices in 2008 and the Dow was running well less than half of what is today.

Consider where you would be if the Republicans had managed to privatize our Social Security. They look for a corporate profit in everything, right now it’s our school system.

And yet I drive the freeway every day and watch one guy barrelling along at 85-90 mph in a gigantic truck with an empty bed. Europeans, who have always paid closer to the true value of the commodity, tend to drive much smaller vehicles.

Jeff, we get it – inflation. Yes, it’s a thing.

This strip is turning into a “one trick pony.”

Let’s all hear about how this is Joe Biden’s fault. He’s even less popular in other industrialized countries where the prices are much higher. /s

Listen, Folks. The general public is the herd. The money makers are the deciders. The herd takes what it can get. The money makers take all they can get.

Example: one size fits all clothing. Who decided that? People who decided separate sizes added too much cost to the process. How about socks that supposedly fit size 7 to 13? Not likely to fit 90% of people after a couple of washings. How about only even sizes in trousers and jeans. Or shirt collars – 16-16.5 and sleeve lengths 32-33. How about the extra features on autos, that manufacturers say are added by dealers and that those extras jack the price for a basic vehicle to over $50k with gigantic interest rates for the required loans.

Did you and I decide to reduce the quality of our lives in that way? It happened because the short way was more convenient and profitable for the money makers.

The Saudis and Putin are best buds and Putin hates Biden and Western Europe. The Saudis with OPEC deliberately reduce supply causing an increase in the price of gas. If the US was to increase domestic production, the supply out of the middle east would just be reduced again. Deliberate market manipulation. The Saudis are not and have never been friends of the USA.

Thank a Republican oil man for that, as he buys a yacht for his yacht.

If there was a time for an excessive profit tax, this is it.

I have no sympathy for people who have an enormous SUV or pickup and commute by themselves. Last month, gas prices dropped and the sales of huge vehicles went up again.

Fear and Greed. Oil companies are making record profits. That’s Biden’s fault of course. But not to worry, you can pay for increased cost at the pump from the huge dividends you’ll get from you stocks in Exxon/Mobile.

What? You don’t have stock in Exxon/Mobile? Just run for public office and promise to approve any pipeline proposed. MAGA. /s
