I get it. Some people think that photographers should also be good at video because both involve cameras. It’s like thinking that a house painter should be able to paint portraits because both involve brushes.
Are we really looking down our noses at videography? I once did video of a friend’s wedding just as a gift to them – and later heard that while they hadn’t planned on having a video, they ended up being very glad to have it, not least for family who’d been unable to come in person.
Both black-and-white and color photography have their charm and aesthetic value. I have worked with both. Though now my work is mostly in color, it’s cool to be able to change it to black-and-white using digital technology.
The ink used to make color photographs tends to fade after some time. While black and white photos if kept away from heat and light can still look new after decades color photos develope a reddish tint.

What’s with the bold text? Is she prejudiced against video or film photography? Or just being sarcastic?

Is a video of someone’s wedding so uncommon?

A video of your wedding will commemorate the day you got tied up.

Black & white? What is this, 1962 or 2022? I got flak from my mom 50 years ago in 1972 when I insisted on buying color film at 8 years old.

That would be something to look forward to (provided this wedding goes through)!

Barry White is great, but for the first dance, go with Al Green – Let’s stay together!

They can do photographs of the wedding and have someone video Marcus with their phone.
