We’re having a lot, no, a LOT of people calling in sick lately. If I remember right, it was around 16 who called in on Friday. On Saturday, it was 24. I hope they were not all really sick, but that some were just going to Halloween parties instead of going to work. I wonder how bad it will be today (Sunday). I was one of the few people who showed up for work and I’m really tired right now I just made 5 typos in that last sentence as evidence how tired I am)!

Several of my cats were having a “meeting” when I got home from work last night. When I got closer, I saw what the “meeting” was about. There was a mangled dead mouse in front of them and they seemed to be deciding which one of the mouse belonged to. After I fed them their nightly canned cat food, they lost interest in the mouse and I was able to dispose of the mouse.

I almost forgot this – just too tired to think straight.

Today is:

NATIONAL CANDY CORN DAY. I know a lot of people don’t like it, but I like candy corn.

SPEAK UP FOR SERVICE DAY

NATIONAL PUBLICIST DAY

And now it’s time to go to bed.

Shouldn’t the line be “Fetch me an alligator sandwich, and make it snappy!” ;-)

Notice how Jack and Bluebell knew to move away as the sploot was being delivered. At least they didn’t get splattered as it was served. Maybe they hoped the cod would slip out on their side of the boardroom table?

Made it to OKC about 1 this afternoon. Got checked in, unpacked and went for lunch at Cattlemans. That steak was SOO good!
