Sorry Garfield, you can’t lie to Santa and get away with it.

Might as well triplets or quadruplets even.

Santa knows who has been naughty or nice. You can’t fool him! He has lists he gets from NSA!

Funny thing is that this could be true. There was a TV special about Garfield getting lost and meeting his mother at the restaurant where he was born.

Reminds me of a couple of quotes from other cartoon characters:

Charlie Brown (to Lucy when she offers to let him kick the football in "It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown): “I don’t mind your dishonestly half as much as I mind your opinion of me! You must think I’m stupid.”

Jon Arbuckle (in response to Garfield blaming Pooky for knocking his fern off the window sill in the 2/24/1979 strip): “His lying to me isn’t half so upsetting as the credit he’s giving my intelligence.”

Santa has to be thinking along similar lines here.

I don’t think we’ve ever seen “Bob”.

Santa is smart enough to know the facts and delete that list for sure, fella.
