It reminds me of an old 30s movie where a guy was showing off his new sportster at the gas station. It got 30 miles to the gallon and he was paying $.25 per gallon.
One of the advantages in living in this small town – you can get a puny starter home for just under $200,000. Of course if you want to live a little further from downtown and/or Walmart you can get a puny starter home for under $100,000. Now if you want waterfront then you are looking at $600k to over $1M. However, $400 for a safari jacket still seems rather expensive.
I don’t buy $400.00 shirts, the last clothing purchase I’ve made was a pair of Jeans at Macy’s that were 50% off (they cost less than $30.00). I buy my socks and underwear at Target when I need to get them. Fortunately I don’t have to get dressed up very often, so I don’t have to have a lot of fancy clothes.

$400 for a safari shirt better come with a safari. Or at least a cute baby elephant. :-)
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Wednesday! Have a great day, all!

$1.74 for a gallon of gasoline seems prety cheap to me. Gasoline here in Iceland costs about $1.65 per liter, which come to about $6.25/gallon.

I remember safari jackets. I never liked them.
I actually went on a safari about six years ago. I loved it and wish I could afford to go back again. I did not wear a safari jacket.

Yup—as others have said, gas and other items have become a bit more expensive over the years …
