I always wonder why after punching in your 76-digit account number, PIN, dogâs maiden name and nuclear launch codes, the first thing the agent asks your descendants (you have long since passed on and the transaction is happening between your future generation and the future generation of customer support) is âWhat is your account number?â
Microsoft and a few others have an option to call you back when an agent is available.With MS, I never had to wait more than two minutes. With others it took up to 15 minutes. Thatâs how business should be done in civilized countries.
Iâve worked in IT for serval decades. I understand Hindi. I usually do not have a problem with technical support. For example, I know that âKligh star and sealit âŠâ means âClick Start and Select âŠâ
Generally speaking, the tech support people have their act down technically. Theyâre intelligent people. But I donât think it is too much to ask to either pick people who can speak the language of the country they are supporting fluently or give them some voice lessons.
Sometimes even I feel like âmaco ocho por Espanolâ and I donât speak Spanish.
I have actually requested an English speaking rep because I could understand one word. So who do they get? A rep in ENGLAND! I always ask where they areâŠ.âșïžâșïžâșïžâșïž
One day after waiting on hold for a while, the person who finally answered was almost understandable, but I had a difficult time hearing him cuz there was a rooster crowing in the background!
