4 a.m. and I just put the turkey in for a nice slow roasting. Santy already came. :( Christmas is officially here. Merry Christmas Charlie Brown and everyone else!
I remember being the only one up just sitting and drinking coffee for about a couple of hours. Very peaceful. My wife was a stay at home mom until the youngest was a junior in HS and I was used to getting up at 5:00 for work. So I would be up and sit and drink coffee Christmas morning until everyone else started waking.
My dog woke up at 6:42 this morning. He was telling me that if I get to relieve myself then, he does too. Breakfast is a good idea, too. Cinnamon coffee is waiting for when senior management wakes up.
Did a midnight run at 3:30 and then up for good at 7:30 EST. mug of tea and just watching the cardinals gorge themselves at the feeder. Tons of snow off Georgian Bay for the rest of the day. maybe 12 – 14 inches of snow today on top of the 18 " we have already. white Christmas indeed.
This is so my family! I was up at 6:15 PST this morning while my wife and son (he came over for the day) are still sound asleep. I expect them to be moving around 10-11 so it’s just me and my dog until then.
This is our house this year. I’ve been up 2.5 hours, gave the kitties breakfast and lovings, enjoyed 2 cups of very good coffee and have cinnamon rolls rising. My wife will be up sometime in the next 1-3 hours.
Once the kids moved out, favorite thing to do on Christmas morning was to get up at dawn and walk the neighborhood and check out all the morning madness through the front windows. (from the sidewalk, ya goofballs)

Poor Arlo. At least he understands that sleeping in is the best gift you can give senior citizen.

Flip the genders and turn Luddie into a dachshund and that’s my household. What’s the hurry? The presents will still be there at 8!
