I’m glad that we are seeing this as Calvin sees it rather than as Mom and Dad see it. Mom and Dad’s view of Hobbes as a doll works well at times but this one is more suited to Calvin’s view of Hobbes than their view.

I always loved the shadow effects in these late 80s “Calvin and Hobbes” strips. Bill Watterson is a real artist.
