Back in High School, the girls swooned over football players, and the administration gave football players special privileges. Rallies were held in the gym where the players were held up as conquering heroes.

The puzzling thing was that our football team hardly ever won a game.

I wonder if Walden really comes through with the benefits, “he” promises for their student athletes or if he’s like the standard military recruiters. Get them signed up and let others pin them down.

At the military academy I briefly attended, we freshmen ate at rigid attention and were under strict discipline during meals, except for the football players, who ate at special tables and had a gay, old time.
