AI can even write literature and comic texts (not that they are comparable, necessarily).

It’s nice to see that Tim Rickard is taking a vacation. Either that or his computer has killed him and taken over the comic.

But A.I. will only stoop so low.

Oh no. You means them robots scan those “I am not a robot” captcha images on the internet and creates art from them? We is doomed. Doomed!

The news is the the artsy fartsy super snob artists will still create rubbish that the rich super snob patrons will pay obscene amounts of money for.

And the beat will go on!!

At least the artist didn’t draw The Scream on their faces.

This is in court right now. Apparently, the AI was trained on copyrighted images.

Ha ha ha ha!

At least Mel’s new face has more character.

But it saves so much time not having to bother with all that " cut and paste" nonsense!

In this day and age everything in art, from music to movies and everything in between, is derivative of something else. Why not let AI have its turn? What’s the worse, art-wise, that could happen.

Keep in mind I’m speaking only in terms of the art world, not the “OMG Terminator!” world – that legit keeps me up at night.

Copyright law, for one.

Panel 3 sounds like the whole U.S. entertainment industry for the last couple decades.

Good one today, Dr. Mel! Now I wanna see Brewster’s face inserted into Van Gogh’s self-portrait and Dr. Mel’s face in American Gothic, with Pam as the farmer’s wife, for good measure.

Creepy.

Now look what Tim went and done.

This is certainly one of Brewster’s more intelligent conversations. Normally he would be lost in the first panel.

I never noticed before but Brewster’s and Dr. Mel’s features fit right into Van Gogh and American Gothic.

LOL, just hilarios. Especially as the scientist does look like that fellow in American Gothic.

Fuzzy Thinking is still needed to create actual art.

Not anybody we know, of course.
