Do you get to tip yourself?

She thought cutting out the bartender the drinks would be cheaper.

Me use self made self service gas. Me generate enough gas meself.

Self employed ?

Just as long as they don’t go to do-it-yourself cartoons.

I don’t see a sign saying SELF-HELP YOUR SELF behind the bar.

So THAT’S what all those “Help Wanted” signs in the windows mean.

She crossed the line when she went behind the bar counter.

We had that type of self-scanner some ten years ago… All our supermarkets now have individual hand-scanners… We scan the item and drop it straight into shopping bags… No queuing… From last item taken from the shelf… paying… and leaving the store… less than 90 seconds…

I do those things and I don’t get paid for doing any of them! The country now clearly embraces slave labour.

Self-checkout: Walmart the other day had zero regular checkouts. Maybe the Waltons need a new yacht.

A couple of grocery stores around here had those self-checkout sections. They both removed them; they had problems with theft. After COVID-19 appeared, they both put the self-checkouts back in to minimize contact. Ain’t that sumpthin’.

If the buffet had beans and cabbage, that would be self-service gas.

I am the guy in the commercial that makes fun of people who are becoming their parents. I don’t get the logic behind insulting people to make them buy your product.

I use the self-scan when I “raid” (get only one or two items). Otherwise, I strike up a conversation with the checkout clerk. I’ve gotten to know most of them. It makes the process a little bit better and it’s probably more fun for them, too.

One day, it will come to this! BYOB..we provide the glass!

my local has almost halved its’ hours. Don’t give them any ideas! The problem is that we’re running out of pubs

I refuse to use the self-checkout registers.

If a store wants me to work there, they need to pay me.

The very least they should do is offer a discount.

Nope, not going to do the store’s work for them.

Yeah, why not! It’s self-help everywhere else.
