We had a “dusting” of snow a few weeks ago, mostly ice. Gone the next day.

My tenuous grasp on reality slipped a little. I was about to complain about Janis being out in the cold and snow without a hat … When you worry about the health of fictional people (another slip).

Where Jimmy lives the only snow they ever see is in a globe. His White Christmas is always a white sandy Gulf Coast beach.

Cold is less than optimal, but snow is the worst. So many times, we have had to change plans because of the snow, or got stuck or in an accident while heading to work. I have been trying to move away from winter ever since we retired, but she won’t leave. I guess I’m still stuck in the snow.

Winter is still young, not even a month old yet. Getting some cold weather here in Florida, too.

OK, I’ll bite; what am I missing here?

It will snow exactly 1.5 inches here this winter.

Why that amount? We finally someone to clear our snow for us. (Everyone says “Commercial only, no residential.”) We took his annual plan – pay one price in advance for the entire winter. If it snows over 1 inch then he keeps the entire amount. If it snows less than 1 inch we get 75% back – hence it will snow 1.5 inches this winter.
