But you could develop those skills watching television or reading comic books.

Calvin could learn a lot about architecture from building snowmen.

If those aren’t life skills, I don’t know what are.

“Procrastinating is great! You don’t have anything to do today, and something to look forward to tomorrow.” I don’t remember who originally said that. Maybe Aristotle.

Calvin is also increasing his vocabulary.

“Never do today what can be put off until tomorrow for events may occur which will cause you to regret your hasty action!” AND “Never do tomorrow what can be put off until the day after tomorrow!” ~ variously Aaron Burr, Mark Twain, et al.

Calvin has a bright future in pick one; politics, a lawyer or business.

Staying warm in a hostile environment. Building something yourself. Not fighting with your coworkers. All valid skills.

My hubby is a professional procrastinator! :D

Procrastinating, rationalizing, carrot placement…

He has a future in politics.

I was a horrible procrastinator as a kid. One Sunday evening I asked my parents to help me with a book report project. My dad asked when it was due: “Tomorrow”. He asked how long I’d known about it, and I told him that it was a couple of weeks. He said, “You got yourself into this, you’ll get yourself out.” I managed a B on my project, but that pretty put, if not an end, a definite mind-change on procrastinating.

If putting things off until later is procrastination, then is doing them immediately anticrastination?

Procrastinators wind in and out time.

There has been 2’ of snow everyday since at least Thanksgiving, doesn’t building snowman/being outside in freezing temperatures get a little old by now ?

Any excuse not to do homework, works for Calvin. ☺️

I once went to a procrastinator’s club meeting, but no one else was there. I must have showed up early.

Ah yes! Skills used in the highest levels of government leadership in our country. That can only amount to nothing but good!

He’s not wrong. People do use those “skills” almost daily as adults.

Calvin fits right in with Gen Z…. I am sure he will grow out of this – but Hobbes will only be that stuffed Tiger up in the attic ;-(

Only Calvin would think this is rationalizing.

A six year old child should be left alone to play. No homework is prescribed down here in India. Of course, the young ones fall prey to the gadgets, unfortunately.

Rationalizing is a superpower.

Calvin is memorializing his philosophical meanderings.

Procrastination. What a word! Too long for people that do it. Like right now. I usually post much earlier, but I procrastinated.

I want to perfect my procrastination skills but just haven’t gotten around to it yet.
