In other words Earl. You’ll get no help from Opal. Unless you’re friends with Tom Hanks.
Well, Tom Hanks did three to four times voice a cowboy doll if that helps.
There was a young lass from Cheyenne
Whose chest was as plump as her can …
Yippe-ki-yay, Opal.
Tom Hanks is now that old. He’s granny fancy.
All boots but no manure.
Wonder what the origin of that word is?
Another cartoonist in search of a cue, see cartoon ‘Ben’.
I thought hankerin’ was a reference to his runny nose.
Earl has been watching too many old cowboy shows by cracky!
My Mother would’ve said Clint Eastwood , My Wife would’ve said Sam Elliott , Tom Hanks ?
Maybe she liked Toy Story or News of the World or she liked Joe vs the Volcano where he sings the cowboy song which can be a form of poetry.
The following old COWGIRL song comes to mind, and these days it might be sadly appropriate:
“Once a young lady named Hannah
Was in a flood in Montana.
She floated away —
Her sister, they say —
Accompanied her on the piana.”
Happy Trails to you, Opal!
Earl is all hat and no cattle.
I’m with Opal here. I like Tom Hanks.
All those urban guys dressing like Yellowstone cowboys. All hat and no cattle.
“Ah love the way muh spurs, in the wind go ‘whirrr’. Now…what rhymes with whirr that’s all ‘Westerny’?”
I wonder if Opal is still into hanky panky with Earl? :-)
He should have asked Opal for sausage patties and scrambled eggs…
Earl is all hat and no chattel. As inspiring as it might be, just don’t squat on your spurs.
Channeling his inner Baxter Black may he rest in peace. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZjatX7d8cuU
There is your justification, Earl.
Hand the man a handkerchief.
Anyone know why it’s a rerun today?
Whitlin’ in my chair, . . . Ma at the fire, . . . Burp.
He got her heart racing,
Thinking soon she’d be facing
The greatest of Hanks
Her happy thanks
So sadly were dashed
Hopes all bashed.
Out at Earl she then lashed.
While asking for the impossible, might as well ask for John Wayne.
Rerun!
What about Jake or Heath?
Uh ohhhhhh…….. someone’s got a CRUSH
I’m hankerin’ for a hunk of cheese!
(Those of us from a certain generation will now have that stuck in our heads all day.)
Tom Hanks was a famous inventor, he was in the kerchief industry, famous for his Hank-kerchief, found in many pockets to this day!
Hanks’ latest movie is about a cranky old widower. Actually sounds interesting. And not like the hunk hero Opal is thinking of.
I’m with Opal. Anything including Tom Hanks – I’ll be there.
