A whole new concept for the lowering of Republican political ethics. Maybe someone should do a DNA check.. does anyone know if compulsive lying is genetic? Maybe he’s related to the dRump.

George Anthony Devolder Santos. He goes by Anthony Devolder when he forgets his name in Congress. Two of his former roommates accuse him (not following thru it seems) of stealing from them.

New details link George Santos to cousin of sanctioned Russian oligarch

Andrew Intrater and his wife each gave the maximum $5,800 to Santos’ main campaign committee and tens of thousands more since 2020 to committees linked to him, according to filings with the Federal Election Commission. Intrater’s cousin is Russian billionaire Viktor Vekselberg, who has been sanctioned by the U.S. government for his role in the Russian energy industry.

Taken together, the evidence suggests Santos may have had a business relationship with Intrater as Santos was first entering politics in 2020. It also shows, according to the SEC filing, that Intrater put hundreds of thousands of dollars into Santos’ onetime employer, Harbor City, which was accused by regulators of running a Ponzi scheme.

The only question left is whether George Santos could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue, shoot somebody dead, and if the Republican Party would refuse to question whether he should remain a GOP member of the House of Representatives.

Why did McCarthy say he wasn’t ‘notified’ a Santos staffer impersonated his Chief of Staff until ‘later’?

Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy appeared to casually brush off that a campaign aide to freshman U.S. Rep. George Santos (R-NY), a proven serial liar, reportedly impersonated McCarthy’s chief of staff in fundraising efforts over a period of several years.“Wealthy donors received calls and emails from a man who said he was Dan Meyer, McCarthy’s chief of staff, during the 2020 and 2022 election cycles, according to people familiar with the matter. His name was actually Sam Miele, and he worked for Santos raising money for his campaign, according to one GOP donor who contributed to Santos’ campaign,” CNBC reported last week.

George Santos lies with ‘the enthusiasm of a complete sociopath’: MSNBC analyst

MSNBC analyst Charlie Sykes on Monday said that the House Republican leadership’s treatment of scandal-plagued Rep. George Santos (R-NY) shows just how far its moral compass has completely fallen off course. During an appearance on Nicolle Wallace’s show, Sykes argued that the GOP’s current attempts to simply ride out the Santos scandal would not prove effective because it seems as though more lies told by the congressman are getting exposed on a daily basis.

    Amoral republicans have zero shame.

He may not be powerful, but he is valuable…. to Speaker McCarthy. The true question is where did all the money come from (and where did it go) associated with his campaign? Somebody “owns” this guy and it will be very interesting to see if the Federal Election Commission is, in fact, an independent regulatory agency and can figure it out.
