My parents made me take ballroom dance lessons in the 7th or 8th grade. I wanted to stay home and watch Sea Hunt.
I’m with him. Wouldn’t want to go dancing either.
I might suggest to my wife that we go dancing some night, if for no other reason than to get that “Are you crazy?” look from her that I know so well.
He doesn’t even dance when nobody is watching.
I’ll let Seinfeld answer for me on this one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MmMUWMCh7U
That middle school trauma and PTSD never leaves you and resurrects at the most inconvenient times.
I love to dance. Had a date who went to a dance with me, then never danced. I said, that’s like going to an amusement park and not wanting to go on any rides. Had that happen once, too. Thank God I am married and left the craziness of dating behind.
I once danced like nobody was watching, but somebody WAS watching. They thought I was having a stroke and called an ambulance!
The young lady of my first dance regretted saying that to me.
Where ever you are, I am soooo sorry.
Um, dude – aren’t all 7th grade girls mean?
YMCA dance…it’ll come back to you like riding a bike.
Or the chicken dance.
A t-shirt slogan I’ve seen a few times adds a qualifier: “Dance like nobody who can have you committed is watching you.”
I’m a lousy dancer.
You too?……
The spinning silver ball and strobe lights at discos makes everyone look like a great dancer.
