150 is presumably the current issue (since Wallace and his Mom haven’t read it yet) but the store already has it in protective Mylar! Now that’s service!
Don’t hit someone with glasses. Two shin kicks and a foot stomp might, just might, keep the spoiler to himself. On the other hand, you might save the world from a future Cliff Claven. “It’s a well-known fact there Nahmie”
I like the old style comic books that didn’t go on and on and on and on forever making you buy them to find out what happens. Even worse you would have to buy other comics to find out what happened in the original one. Marvel is great at marketing.
My parents accepted my comic book fanaticism but never embraced it. My mom did read Manga forever, but not American Comic Books. Also, most of her Manga was romantic with comedy. I recall they were well drawn, in Japanese, and every issue had a gratuitous boob and bottom shot, usually due to some comic mix-up.
There is a special place in Hell for people that spoil books, movies, or TV shows intentionally. The hottest part of that is for people who spoil books.
It’s great that Wallace’s Mom encourages his comic book reading habit (inspiring a love of literacy!) instead of being the Mom who throws out her son’s comic book collection, calling it “trash”. The world is filled with those Moms.

True Comic Geeks do not like “spoilers”.
Did they have to leave Seagull outside?

The back room of many a comic shop is littered with the bones of store clerks who gave away the end of a story.

I wish I had all my old comics from the 60s. I’d be comfortably retired.

Mom picked up a comic book once a while back and now she’s hooked. Wallace gets his coolness from her. I mean she still surfs.

Will Henry, I’m still waiting for the complete Shwaps backstory you mentioned years ago. Perhaps there could be a Wallace/Shwaps crossover event.
