Because they’re “UNICORN!” thoughts?

Can it really be called that if imagination is a thought?

How could they be uninteresting if they’re about you, your favorite thing?

Didn’t you have an active inner life before you met Phoebe?

That first panel I almost got the feeling that Marigold was going to do something stupid with traffic like playing chicken with it.

She might become so unbalanced without Phoebe that who knows what she would do.

Looks like you have a true friend, Phoebe!

The curse of immortality; you’ve seen everything in your own world, thus you ‘know’ everything, thus it diminishes your capacity to imagine. In fairy stories, mortals are tormented for the pleasure of watching them imagine what you can do to them.

Now that Dilbert has been canceled, I was hoping Phoebe and Her Unicorn would take its place in The Seattle Times, Dana’s former hometown paper. Instead the Super Quiz expanded to take its place.

Is Marigold going to go through the phases of Phoebe with draw like Phoebe did when Marigold went to the spa in Canada?

Now I’m wondering whether Marigold will mysteriously show up at the grandparents’ place for some Shield of Boringness fun.

Phoebe really changed her life a lot.

Gosh, you’d thing Marigold would always find her thoughts fascinating. She talks to others in order to share the brilliance of her thoughts.

She’s missing Phoebe already. Then again, it’s better to be with her than stuck with your thoughts or in front of your reflection.

My second theory was right! Although I’m still curious if we’ll end up seeing Phoebe’s grandparents in person…

I assume this isn’t a rerun of the arc where Phoebe was reading a book or something, leaving Marigold alone with her thoughts, and she found them horrifying; I had saved that strip to my hard drive but lost it in a crash and there’s no text search feature for the archives :^(
