Have you heard of the expression, “Dead as a Door Nail”? I always wondered where it came from. It seems that in the day when nails where handmade. And they had to tear a house down. They would collect all the nails and reuses them. But the doors and door frames had to be more sturdily fasten together. So when they were nailed together the end of the nails were bent so that they wouldn’t slip out over time. And those door nails were “dead” and couldn’t be reused.
I had a nail gun once. It would drive in partially, and I would almost invariably bend it using a hammer to drive it the rest of the way. I am Captain Klutz when it comes to carpentry.

Ya know, those things can bounce back and put out your eye. Had a buddy that happened to. Another had one go up through his jaw.

Your wife’s right, Wiz. Wise up. It’s a nailer, not a pistol.

Nails make terrible projectiles. They start to tumble almost immediately.
