/// It’s a lie to imply that bear’s “cokie.”
Far from “hopped-up,” he’s clumsy and poky.
The man made him upset—
tossed a lit cigarette.
You don’t do things like that before Smokey.

A Cautionary Tale: How Pierre Met a Grizzly and Came to a Grisly End (written in the style of Hilaire Belloc [I hope])
Pierre vain Hunter extraordinaire
Went out to shoot a fearsome grizzly bear
Traipsing through the woods he soon found
A huge grizzly’s tracks upon the ground.
.
Foolish Pierre did not yet realize
That he was Food in the grizzly’s Eyes
And that as he crept through the forest dim,
The huge hungry bear was tracking HIM!
.
Soon they met and Pierre became aware
This was no friendly Smokey Bear.
At ten feet tall on its hind legs chargin’
There was hardly any safety margin!
.
Unfortunate it was, his shotgun jammed
And into Pierre the grizzly rammed!
It was not pretty what then ensued
The blood and guts for each, vicissitude.
.
When later searchers looked here and there
All they found was scattered bones and hair…
Take heed you hunting bears unprepared:
Be well-armed and no shame is it to be scared!
.
Pierre was most certainly not
And look the pain and suffering it him got
The bear, however, his stomach satisfied
Did not care except HE hadn’t died.

Thought he’d gobble them up as a snack.
But they’re brave; won’t give in
and just let the Bear win.
