My little dog challenges me to a chase every evening. Not easy for this octogenarian but I do chase her with increasing fury until she runs to “Mama” for protection. All the time her tail is wagging.

You might want to trade up for a new owner!

I can feel some dog’s toy getting dropped in the coffee.

My kitty is always wanting my attention…

Alternate from the coffee cup and the tug o war with the same hand. Call it your morning workout. Share a little treat, a calming head on your lap… good for you both. And far less dismal than the ‘news’.

I’m there right now.

I don’t think this guy gets how this works. Eleanor places her nose on my foot rest and I jump up to let her out to poop. Very simple.

Of course, the dog knows. She just doesn’t care. She wants to play.

There will be a near infinite number of cups of coffee. Sadly, there are a very finite number of opportunities to play with your pal. Do the right thing.

Those are my cats at 5AM. Hungry, not playful.

Minor break now thanks to DST, rapidly disappearing.

Oh my gosh that is totally me and my cat. When we get up in the morning, the first thing he does is beg to play while I’m trying to eat something for breakfast.

You mistake my feeling, this is what will happen to you if you do not play with me…

Dog’s life is too short. Enjoy them while you can. We miss ours…

Oh, go ahead and play with the dog! Reheat your coffee later, if you need to.

This is my dog, Lilly. Only difference is, I can sit at the table, the sofa, the recliner no problem, but if I sit at the computer work station, play time is on.

Lilly just climbed up on the coffee table and is staring at my right ear because I’m not throwing her toy for her.
