The comic writer must be a soap fan. I watch General Hospital, and they’re constantly interrupting it with “breaking news”, forcing me to go to Hulu to watch the episode.
An appropriate re-title, cause days run into weeks on the soaps. When I was serving in Okinawa, we use to get the soaps tape delayed from Korea so we were a week behind. Then we got our own feed so we got them live. Didn’t even notice the missing episodes.
In college, a friend was the fire marshal in his dorm—he scheduled the drills. Many many girls NEVER forgave him for having a drill during the General Hospital episode when Laura came back (turns out not from the dead) and reunited with Luke.
