Enlist them in the Army: Zoe can be a spy since she’s so good at tattling; Hammie goes into the chemical corp as a gas warfare specialist, and Wren can be in recruiting – everyone loves babies.

I don’t know but I’ve been told,

Maybe his kids would finally hush.

Ship them off to the grandparents for a day.

Plan a picnic in a park and/or go to the local zoo, etc. In other words, get out of the house for an activity.

Would the kids settle for Knott’s Berry Farm?

Would they settle for berries on their breakfast cereal?

What parent is a match for their kids in the hyperactivity department?

I suggest the French Foreign Legion, they’re still in operation.

Let Hammie choose an outdoor activity. That would be interesting.

I once heard of the trick of throwing 99 pennies in the yard and telling the kids to find the whole dollar…..

A bouncy castle will only occupy them for an hour at most, but the Army will have them busy for at least two years. Too bad that’s not really an option for them.

Here’s another option: Go to the hardware store and buy three sturdy coat hooks and three large, drawstring burlap bags. I think you get the idea.
