What a lovely way to go.

When my father was close to death, he saw his wife, his mother, and his sister, all of whom preceded him. But, he pulled through and lived about 6 more months.

I think Lacey is more worried that those she leaves behind will do her makeup wrong.

And this is why Doonesbury is the most humane comic strip of all time.

I remember when this series first ran. It was lovely and heart-breaking. Lacey was such a wonderful character – it was sad to see her go.

Lacey’s death is moving and good. I’m an atheist. I hope that my last thoughts when I die are of the people I’ve loved. John Bassett
