Basic Instructions by Scott Meyer for May 01, 2023

I know Scott said to be patient, so in the mean time, going to provide my own Basic Instructions. The instructions for this one would be “How to rationalize the world’s oldest profession.”

Maybe they weren’t a family at all. Maybe they were a group of friends/coworkers, who went out to the ghost town to see a good gunfight, and then decided to play dress up.

(An alternate instruction might be, “How to distract people from noticing weird facial hair.”)

I see beards and moustaches everywhere! Have we entered the evil alternate dimension???

Wait. Do I live in the evil alternate dimension?

It’s just my opinion, but the instructions added a contrast that enhanced the humor. That said, I’m still a fan.

Woah. Scott’s best friend grew a helluva lot of facial hair in just a week!

My opinion…. I miss the instructions within the comic and hope they return…. and also hope whatever Scott is contemplating DOES NOT drastically change/alter the darn near perfect comic of “Basic Instructions:OR”….. “OR” stands for “Original Recipe”.

I was in Berkeley Springs WV last Wednesday and saw someone who looked enough like Scott that I almost went up and asked. Almost.

Sounds like they visited Tombstone, but there are a lot of kitschy places in Southern Arizona

In the real Old West, outlaws (and lawmen) mostly had their “gunfights” from behind cover, into the other guy’s back.

I miss the instructions! That was what made this comic so witty.

Apparently I’m the only one who wants to see the pictures that family took.

Joseph grew a goatee and put on some weight, I see.
