Maybe, maybe… maybe he’ll actually be convicted of something. Then, maybe, maybe, maybe the various courts all the way up to SCROTUS will uphold. But I think there’s one chance in a bazillion that they’ll uphold.
Interesting story down here in the Richmond, VA, newspaper today comparing Aaron Burr to The Donald. There was a Trump before Trump, and Burr did get off despite trying to form a militia to occupy large swaths of the Louisiana Purchase lands and form his own country, after losing a presidential election.
The results of weaponizing the justice system to attack a political opponent, like a third world country. Makes one wonder who really is the party of traitors to democracy.
I’ve been saying it since the beginning (no, not THAT beginning!): when the first indictment FINALLY falls, the rest of the dominos will. Remember, Traitor Trump has more than a few civil cases pending against him, in addition to his corporate and campaign crimes, his attempt to commit voter fraud in Georgia, and, of course, his treason when he sicced a mob of traitors on the Capitol in an attempt to overthrow our democracy (and murder his own vice president).
Here’s an idea for NBC-TV: a sequel to The Apprentice to be called Indictment of the Week, and I bet you can get the same guy to star in it. It may run for quite awhile due to the abundance of subject matter.
I see any number of cognitively challenged posters here claiming that the pursuit of justice constitutes the weaponizing of government. A little story for youse guys: During the 1948 presidential election campaign, as President Harry Truman delivered a speech attacking the Republicans, a supporter yelled out, “Give ’em Hell, Harry!” Truman replied, “I don’t give them Hell. I just tell the truth about them, and they think it’s Hell.”

Now that there is a path, lets hope the other indictments follow in a timely matter.

Have your popcorn ready. Hoping justice finally finds his entire both legally corrupt and morally corrupt family.

By the time his case would get to his Supreme Court (or its remnants) Trump will be dead, buried and somewhat forgotten.
