Maybe it will be a magnificent benefactor come to help re home the cats, with generous visiting privileges. …….. Or it could portend horrible disaster as drama always pulls people in so hard.
NATIONAL SIBLINGS DAY. I have plenty of those! Six brothers. I had 3 sisters, but only one is living now.
NATIONAL FARM ANIMALS DAY. Farm animals are nice.
NATIONAL ENCOURAGE A YOUNG WRITER DAY. How young? Never mind, they aren’t young. Two of my brothers got the writing bug after I published my first book and now they are writing books too. But, the term “young” is relative. I would not call them old (but young people would). But I wouldn’t call them young either. One is 65 and the other is 62. I’m working on my second book now.
NATIONAL CINNAMON CRESCENT DAY. I was planning on making crescent rolls for my Easter Monday dinner (I worked on Easter Sunday), but I had not planned on cinnamon crescent rolls. But I’m intrigued with the idea. Maybe if I sprinkled just a bit of cinnamon sugar on the rolls before I roll them up…it might be good. But I’ll probably forget all about that by dinner time. It’s only 2:30 in the morning now.
From yesterday’s comments, DennisinSeattle said, “My magnolia tree is in full bloom.”
I had a neighbor, 2 doors down from me who had a beautiful magnolia tree. I looked forward to seeing it bloom every spring! But then they sold their house and the new owners cut down the magnolia tree, plus a beautiful maple tree and 2 huge spruce trees. And they dug up all the beautiful peonies and replaced them with stones and prickly pear cactus. I wish I had seen them digging up the peonies. I would have offered to give them a home in my yard. Then after destroying the property that way, they sold the house a couple years later.
Hope this isn’t Alf with a knife and fork and a bottle of barbecue sauce. He wouldn’t stand a chance against Lily. On another note, saw two chickadees, six robins, a wren, a spotted towhee, and two juncos while out walking today.
